Why do I need another referral when I'm already a patient of Dr. _________?
When it’s been more than six months since you have had an appointment with the specialist, MSP requires that there be a new referral.
I don't have a doctor. How do I get a referral?
Any walk-in doctor or virtual clinic can provide a referral. Explain that you don’t have a doctor and need a further referral to your specialist.
How long do I have to wait for an appointment?
The doctor will prioritize your referral and you will be notified when we are ready to schedule an appointment. If you have any questions, please call the referring office.
I've started drinking the first 2L of bowel prep and I'm not feeling well, should I stop?
As you are drinking the prep, you must drink at least an equal amount of any of the other fluids listed in your instructions. It’s also easier on your stomach if you drink a variety of fluids and not only water.
I have kidney issues and can't drink the 4L of bowel prep, it's too much fluid for my kidneys.
The bowel prep solution is not absorbed into the system, it passes right through.
Does it matter what colour Jello I have during the bowel cleanse?
Avoid red Jello, any other colour is fine.
